The maplewood rings are handmade and sourced locally in the U.S. - and have passed both CPSC and ASTM Federal standards for Children's Products and Toy Safety. Each one is sealed with 100% organic olive oil and beeswax, a treatment that keeps the wood naturally pliant. The fabric portion of the teether is made from 100% cotton flannel fabric and terry cloth.
The fabric piece simply unties and can be hand washed in mild soap and warm water, air dry or tumble dry low and warm iron as needed. The maple wood ring should not be submerged in water, but may be spot-cleaned. The maple wood ring may be-coated if necessary with simple olive oil.
WARNINGS:
Please keep in mind that while the natural maple wood teething rings are compliant with federal standards, adult supervision is recommended at all times. Wood can crack with age or break/crack with forceful impact or improper handling. If you notice a crack or split in your wood ring please discontinue use immediately.
